Happy new year!
This post is a few days late, but happy new year everyone! My gosh what an awesome year 2006 was! TI year was so relaxed and fun. I was able to actually enjoy doing hospital stuff which meant I could really learn stuff relevant to the real world! Not just crap stupid information for exam purposes. Then there was the 6 week attachment in Tauranga which was also cool, not because it was O&G, but it was just nice to hang out in a different town and get to know people you wouldn't otherwise get to know!
Of course, I couldn't recap on 2006 without mentioning my elective! Oh I still really miss Toronto!! It seems like a dream now, travelling around Canada on my own. It was such an amazing experience and unfortunately one which can never be replicated.
Next, was the very unexpected visit to ACH as an inpatient! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine getting appendicitis! I had an acute abdomen!!
The final adventure of 2006 was starting work. I can't really sum it up briefly in a dignified manner, so let me say this: "Oh my freakin crazy giddy aunt this is totally nuts!!!!!!!!"
2007 looks to be a challenging year, with most of it probably being occupied with continuing to getting used to working life. Hopefully I'll manage to get myself organised so that there's time for other adventures too!
I hope 2007 is full of happiness and good luck for you all!
