Pethidine Pleasure

Just spent 10 days in ChCh playing with my nephew! It was so much fun! He just turned 1 yr old. The last time I saw him was when he was 3 days old so he's changed heaps since then! Isn't he cute!?!? Well dressed too if I may say so!!! I bought him that shirt from Baby Gap in Toronto! We spent lots of time playing! Games included stacking cups, playing with clothes pegs and practising walking! While I was there, he learnt to stand up on his own. He could walk really far if he held onto something or someone, but didn't quite manage to walk independently of aids while I was there. As you can see, we had lots of fun!
He had a great sense of humour, but as you can see, I had to work quite hard to keep him entertained.

Things that he found funny at the start of the holiday soon got boring for him. I had to keep thinking of new things to keep him entertained. Sometimes I think he thought I was quite crazy.
Of course he's also very talented. He's playing the piano like a real pro!
I'll have to start the tennis lessons next time. Gotta get the walking thing sorted first. It was so hard to leave! It broke my heart having to say goodbye!! I still have the baby songs stuck in my head. I hum them to myself while walking around the wards. Clap clap clap your hands.... clap your hands together...
